We may share personal information within CIC Australia and it’s Joint Venture Operations and to third parties. Interstate & overseas disclosure

CIC Australia conducts its business locally and interstate and although based in Canberra ACT is controlled by the Guinness Peat Group, a UK based company. The company is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange so information to third parties outside Australia will at all times comply with the Privacy Act and the National Privacy Principles.

 

Sensitive information

We will not collect use or disclose sensitive information such as information about racial or ethnic origins or political or religious beliefs, except with your specific consent or in the circumstances permitted in the Privacy Act.

Sensitive information means

“personal information or opinion about an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences or practices, criminal record or health information”.

 

Privacy & the website

When you register as a user of this site through the “contact us“ facility, you may receive direct marketing information from CIC Australia or associated companies or nominated selling agencies. If you are receiving marketing information and do not wish to receive this information any longer, please email us at cic@cicaustralia.com.au and ask to be removed from the marketing list. We will notify you of our receipt of your request and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to remove your name from the marketing list, as requested, within 5 working days from the date of receipt of your request.
